Does the grant pay during the review?
Yes, until and unless it is suspended. Reviews only stop payment after the deadline passes or a disqualifying finding is made.

What are the SASSA payment dates for August 2026?
Older Persons on 4 August, Disability on 5 August, Child Support on 6 August, and all other grants — including grants under review — on 7 August 2026.

Why am I being paid later than usual this month?

How much is the Child Support Grant in 2026?
R580 per child per month from 1 April 2026, up from R560. A relative caring for an orphaned child can claim the top-up, bringing it to R860.

How long should I wait before reporting a missing payment?
Two to three business days past your grant's payment date. Banks post deposits on their own schedule, and most 'missing' payments arrive inside that window.
