SASSA pays over four days in September 2026: the Older Persons Grant on Wednesday 2 September, the Disability Grant on Thursday 3 September, the Child Support Grant on Friday 4 September, and all other grants on Monday 7 September. Grants under review are also paid on 7 September, not in the normal three-day cycle. This is the first payment run after the gold-card deadline — beneficiaries who have not switched to a Postbank black card cannot access these payments until they do.

Grants under review are paid on 7 September
SASSA has confirmed that beneficiaries whose grants are identified for review are not paid in the normal three-day cycle — payment comes on the fourth payment day. After collecting, visit a SASSA office during September to complete the review. Failing to respond can lead to the grant being suspended or lapsing. What to bring to your review.
