SA Benefits does not collect, store or process your personal information. There are no accounts, no forms asking for your ID number, and our tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into a calculator ever reaches our servers.

What stays in your browser

To make the site more useful, some non-personal preferences are stored in your own browser's local storage and never transmitted to us:

  • Your chosen theme (light or dark).
  • Non-personal reading preferences as those features launch (see the roadmap).

You can clear these at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Nothing breaks if you do.

Tools and calculators

Every tool on this site — including the benefits checker — performs its calculations on your device. Your answers are not sent to, logged by, or stored on our servers, and we never ask for your ID number, phone number or bank details. Any site that does ask for those to "check your status" is a scam.

Advertising and analytics

The site is funded by display advertising. Advertising and any privacy-respecting analytics we adopt will be disclosed on this page before they are introduced, together with any cookies they set. As of 28 July 2026, no advertising or analytics scripts are live.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you have rights over personal information an organisation holds about you. Our position is simple: we hold none. Questions: hello@sabenefits.co.za.
