SA Benefits launches today with one promise: tell you your status, tell you what it means, and tell you what else you can claim. Phase 1 is live now — the complete SRD grant guide (every status, every decline reason, appeals, payments), the anonymous benefits checker, scam protection guides, and the first of the beyond-grants pages.
What's live today
- The complete SRD silo — status check with every result explained, all 10 decline reasons translated, appeals, payment fixes and backpay.
- The benefits checker — 7 anonymous questions, every entitlement ranked. Nothing stored, no ID asked.
- Grant review and suspension guides — for the hundreds of thousands currently in the review drive.
- Scam guides — fake status sites, fee fraud, OTP theft.
- Beyond grants — food parcels and ID documents, with the municipal layer next.
How the build continues
The site ships in four public phases — permanent grant guides next, then the full tools suite and municipal pages, then the work-and-UIF bridge.
