Western Cape service offices cover the Cape Town metro and the Cape Flats, plus the Cape Winelands around Paarl and Worcester, the Overberg, the Garden Route around George and Mossel Bay, the Central Karoo and the West Coast.

Your municipal offices, clinic, school or ward councillor deal with SASSA constantly and generally know the nearest office and when the mobile unit visits.
Cape Town households should also check the City's indigent register for free basic water and electricity and a rates rebate. It is run by the municipality, not SASSA, it is a separate application, and it is one of the most under-claimed forms of support in the province.

What must I take with me?

Ask about a home visit for the application, and about the mobile units that visit outlying areas. If you need someone to collect payments for you, appoint a procurator.
